For now, I like the mix of cheerful Fall decor with just a little bit of Halloween thrown in.. We’ve got our.
Don’t ask me why I had that fabric in the first place….Can I just say one thing?
If you look at my kitchen from this particular angle and ignore what’s reflected in the mirror and squint really hard, this little part of the house looks pretty darn good!Never expected that would happen without the use of a sledgehammer..So it wasn’t exactly what I envisioned, but my little house scarf still helps to Fallify this little corner and looks pretty snazzy while doing so.. And it distracts nicely from the plastic floors and 1974 range too!I’m starting to work on some of my Fall decorating to get ready for all the fun Fall parties coming up.
Not like I was in August, messing around with Halloween crafts and stuff, but the real, serious, nitty gritty type of Fall decorating.Yes, this is serious business!.
Well, I was starting to lay out my plans for our Fall mudroom, and I didn’t quite know what I was going to do.
I made this one little move and everything started to take shape. We’ve got this..
Grab a few ziplock/generic brand zipper style bags.. You’re going to have delicious icing in a just a few seconds and no mess.Wasn’t that easy?.
You can either make a whole lot of icing, or just a tiny bit for a few little dots and lines, whatever works for you.. You’ll need ziplock bags, large or small, (I find if you’re going to be really intense about the squishing, the name brand ones do tend to hold up better, but dollar store bags work in a pinch too), icing sugar, butter, vanilla, and food coloring.. No matter what amount of icing you decide to make, you’ll need about 1 part butter to 4 parts icing sugar, a splash of vanilla and a few drops of food coloring. So for example, I used about 1 teaspoon of butter, to 4 teaspoons of icing sugar to get these amounts..
